Dear Parade Participants:

It’s that time again! The Perkins Chamber of Commerce cordially invites you to participate in the 2007 OLD SETTLER’S DAY PARADE. (PDF Form and Info on Menu Bar under Calendar, or Click Here.)

The event will be held SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. Parade registration/line-up will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Please note the parade will lineup in a different location this year. Line up will be on the WEST side of town this year on Kenworthy (by the old football field). Please provide an email address on your application so that your entry number can be emailed to you a few days before (please let everyone in your group know what your entry number is). The morning of the parade you will be able to go directly to your line-up location. An information table will be set-up at the corner of West 3rd and Kenworthy the morning of the parade.

This year’s parade theme: “Centennial on the Cimarron”. Don’t miss our exciting celebration by being late with your entries: The deadline for entries this year is Wednesday, September 12th (Entries received after September 12 may be placed behind the horses).

We appreciate your participation in years past, and look forward to seeing you again this
year. Please complete and SIGN the enclosed Parade Entry form before September 12th.

Parade judges will determine category winners based on criteria including compliance with parade theme, originality, creativity and crowd appeal when applicable.

In consideration of acceptance of this entry, I hereby waive any and all claims for myself and my heirs, successors, or assigns against the Perkins Chamber of Commerce, or any of their agents, officers, volunteers and/or employees for any injury or illness, theft or other damage which may directly or indirectly result from my participation at any Perkins Chamber of Commerce event or activity while on their “premises,” and I further agree to save and hold said parties harmless and agree to indemnify each of said parties against all liability for any loss, cost injury or damage to persons or property which may arise by virtue of my participation of being on the “premises,” of a Perkins Chamber of Commerce event. I understand that Perkins Chamber of Commerce events/activities may be cancelled in the sole judgment and discretion of the sponsors, while in agreement with the sponsor, if unsaid conditions exist due to rain, heat, civil defense, strikes or other circumstances. I further agree that the times of said event/activity may change at the sole discretion of the sponsors. I understand that while I am participating in said event/activity the sponsors or their agents may photograph me, and I agree to allow my photograph to be taken and used as the sponsors see fit.

Leadership Perkins Class II Sponsored by Perkins Community Chamber of Commerce

Chamber Members,

Just a reminder about the upcoming Leadership Perkins Class II. Class I was a huge success & Class II promises more of the same.

Please consider joining the class this year and sharing the experience with fellow Chamber members.

An Application is available online at www.cityofperkins.net, click on CHAMBER on the left side of the screen. You will then see a link for the Leadership Application. Just print it out, fill in the blanks & take to Perkins City Hall. Application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on August 24, 2007.
